The Laboratory of Advanced Materials is located at the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering of the Universidade Federal do Ceará and is dedicated to the study of novel materials seeking various applications of scientific and technological interests. Currently, researchers associated with the Laboratory develop two lines of research: synthesis and characterization of new nanomaterials for applications in solar cells and hydrogen evolution; and study of the magnetic properties of stainless steels subjected to degradation and corrosion using Mössbauer spectroscopy. The laboratory also provides services for a variety of research groups of UFC and other institutions.
